‘A collection of Modern Heirlooms’
Some stories, events, things of the past, just stay with you.. forever...! And knowingly or unknowingly it translates itself in your personality, thoughts and even designs.
Our nani, her loud laugh, her strong opinions, her undeterred will-power, her uncompromised ethics and her real gold taar lehanga embellished with gold coins is a classic example for us. As kids we had seen her opulent and elaborate lehanga and were in awe of it. So much, that we got a part of it framed for our wall. For us, it spelled charm, royalty and magnificence. It also personified the wearer as someone with a distinctive style of their own, who wasn't scared or apologetic for being unique, being exclusive, being novel and being strong.
And yes, that was the inspiration for 'Khazana'... ! Wanted to recreate that magic. The feeling of majestic charm n classic taste. The sense of distinctive grandeur. To bring it for anyone who wanted to wear magnificence, instead of real gold threads, we developed the gold mesh, hand-dyed it in rich hues and got it hand-knotted to make it into a wearable fabric, thus creating our classic NV-unique feature.
Intense tones in hand-crushed velvet, intricate zardosi handwork, detailed with moti jhumkis set through kadis with utmost precision and care, distinctive yet effortlessly wearable and favoured outfit patterns converted our dream into a reality in Khazana.1
We really really hope 'Khazana' can instil the same feeling of unique glory in anyone who chooses to try it.
When you wear a 'Nikita.Vishakha', you wear the stories of inherited legacy and lavish antiquity. You wear a classic period piece.
