‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’
Indian relations, joint family traditions... Such a peculiar characteristic of the Indian social life! The family, in Indian society, is an institution by itself and a typical symbol of the collectivist culture of India right from the ancient times. The concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (world is one family) is ingrained in our DNA. It is our duty to pass on the collective age-old wisdom to our succeeding generations.
Our Khazana collection depicts just that.. hand-woven, inter-linked, closely-bound rich silk threads entwined together to form this beautiful mesh outfit.
During the difficult times of this pandemic lockdown, we got connected to women from the most interior parts of villages who were eager to try knotting this unique material. With earning men at home, no income, looming uncertainty... they lovingly and enthusiastically gave all that they had to make it happen. And yes, they did it !
Delicate organzas in pastel hues, subtle but ornate aari and elegant moti handwork in contemporary designs makes each piece of Khazana.2, a soft, flowy, easy and graceful ensemble.
